News Insights

Sometimes external events affect the global mail network and your mailservers’ deliverability. Recent examples are Spamcop causing millions of servers to spontaneously reject all mail when their domain expired, and Gmail’s extended hard bouncing of valid mailboxes.

Reacting quickly in these cases is critical to minimizing disruption, which is why Lightmeter now creates occasional “News Insights” with information about such disruption, and generates optional notifications via enabled channels. New Lightmeter releases will also be communicated this way.

What’s else is new?

  4. Removed four RBLs from checks due to bad quality or practices (spfbl.net, rbl.rbldns.ru, dunk.dnsbl.tuxad.de, zz.countries.nerd.dk)
  5. Increased the number of insights shown by the Observatory view to 100
  6. Disallow selection of future dates on Observatory date-picker calendar
  7. Update observatory graphs at the same interval as insights (30 seconds)
